The man behind the statues
Oliver Greene is the artist who hand crafted, and detailed all of the statues of the Blessed Pope. He has a long and extensive artistic education and career. He has gained mastery in a number of rare sculpting forms, as well as the lost wax casting method. He attended The Hampstead School of Art under the direction of Mr. David Carr (a well known artist and author). Later, he was tutored by Kulwant Aurore.
It is the mission of Mr. Greene to continue to spread the message that the late Pope exemplified during his life. The message is one of love and compassion, which is why he wanted to create the most lifelike, unique sculptures possible in order to keep that message alive. Using his unique talents, this could be accomplished through exquisite bronze statues of Pope John Paul II.
