A Welcome Note From The Artist

Hi, my name is Oliver Greene.

I reside in West Hampstead London for 6 months of the year (usually the summer period) and 6 months abroad in Thailand, for the British winter time. I enjoy the heat and it is very comforting to my bones. I have two children. My dog sadly died last Christmas.

I immigrated to England in 1963 and attended Greenford Grammar school. I entered the construction industry. Trained and became a contracts project manager.

I attended various day and night schools learning art and sculpture.

I attended The Hampstead school of Art under the direction of Mr David Carr – well known artist and author. Being tutored by Kulwant Aurore.

In 2000 after suffering a stroke and continuing ill health forced an early retirement from the construction industry in 2003.

Since then I have devoted my time to renewing my art and sculpturing methods, resulting in the production of the bronze statue of Blessed Pope John Paul II.

I had this website put together for you to enjoy, and as reminder of Love & Compassion.

I have followed the life of Blessed Pope John Paul II with great interest. He is the only pope, as far as I can remember and know that truly followed in Jesus’ footsteps. He travelled the world bringing the message of Love & Compassion.

This is now very dear to my heart.
